Shinhan Bank picked up its third straight win over last-place Busan BNK to move within striking distance of fourth-place Bucheon Hana OneQ.
Shinhan defeated BNK 69-64 in a home game of the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023-2024 Women’s Professional Basketball League regular season at Dowon Gymnasium in Incheon on Monday.
After defeating fourth-ranked contender Hana OneQ on Nov. 24 and second-ranked Asan Woori Bank on Nov. 27, Shinhan won its third straight game with a win over 바카라사이트 BNK.
Shinhan Bank is still in fifth place with 7 wins and 15 losses, but the gap with fourth-place Hana OneQ (7 wins and 14 losses) has narrowed to just 0.5 games, raising hopes of jumping to fourth place. On the other hand, BNK, which has lost nine straight games, remains in last place with four wins and 18 losses.
BNK held a slim lead at the start of the game, but back-to-back three-pointers from Lee Kyung-eun and Kang Gye-ri at the end of the first quarter gave Shinhan Bank a 14-13 lead.
BNK evened the score in the second quarter, led by Jin An’s 12 points in the quarter alone, but Shinhan took a 32-31 lead with 30 seconds left in the second quarter on Kang Gye-ri’s under-the-basket basket.
With the score 42-46 in the third quarter, Shinhan Bank scored eight straight points to regain the lead at 50-46 with 1:30 to go, and a three-pointer by Lee Da-yeon with 44 seconds left made it 53-49.
In the fourth quarter, with BNK chasing and Shinhan Bank running away, Shinhan Bank took a 67-62 lead on Kim Sonia’s three-pointer with 2:59 left in the game.
There was a twist when Kim Sonia was called for five fouls with 1:16 left, but the lead was not relinquished.
Kim Sonia finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, including three 3-pointers, while Kang Gye-ri added 12 points and Lee Da-yeon, Kim Ji-young and Lee Kyung-eun each had seven points.
For BNK, Jin An led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds, Kim Han-byul had 13 points, 13 rebounds and five assists, and Ahn Hye-ji had 13 points and eight assists.
