According to Sports Seoul’s news reports, Choi Eun-ji, the third free agent in her career, will wear the Heungkuk Life Insurance uniform. Kim Ju-hyang, another outside heater resource, will move to GS Caltex after leaving Hyundai Engineering & Construction.

Choi Eun-ji and Kim Ju-hyang are classified as Group B with an annual salary of 50 million won or more and less than 100 million won. Group B is relatively less burdened as it only has to pay compensation (300 percent of the previous season’s annual salary) compared to Group A (more than 100 million won per year), which has to pay 200 percent of the previous season’s annual salary and one of the six protected players set by the club.

Group B players began to move with big fish players from Group A, including Kang So-hwi (GS Caltex → Korea Expressway Corporation), Lee So-young (Director Jeong → IBK Industrial Bank), and Lee Ju-ah (Heungkuk Life → IBK Industrial Bank) completing their transfers.

Choi Eun-ji, who became a professional free agent for the third time, is heading to Heungkuk Life Insurance. After joining IBK Industrial Bank of Korea in the 2011-2021 season, he moved to Korea Expressway Corporation in the 2016-2017 season, and wore the KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently Jeonggwanjang) uniform in the 2018-2019 season. Having settled in GS Caltex in the 2021-2022 season through trade, Choi will wear the fourth professional uniform in Heungkuk Life Insurance.

Kim Joo-hyang joined Hyundai E&C as the third choice in the first round of the 2017-2018 season. Ahead of the 2019-2020 season, he moved to IBK Industrial Bank as a compensator for Ko Ye-rim, who transferred from IBK Industrial Bank to Hyundai E&C as a free agent. And ahead of the 2023-2024 season, he returned to his former team as a compensator for Hwang Min-kyung, who transferred to IBK Industrial Bank, and helped Hyundai E&C win the integrated title.

Kim Joo-hyang, who played in 53 sets of 20 games in the 2023-2024 season and scored 85 points (34.03% attack success rate), will make a new start at GS Caltex, where Kang So-hwi left and lost his main gun.
