I don’t know basketball…the lowest-rated team revolts, beats the No. 1 team in the West

I don’t know basketball. The Detroit Pistons just pulled off one of their most impressive wins of the season.

Detroit, the league’s lowest-ranked team, defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-104 in the 2023-2024 NBA regular season on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena. The Pistons overcame a back-to-back deficit to earn the win. Jaylen Duren paced the way with 22 points, 21 rebounds and six assists, while Jaylen Ivy 메이저 토토사이트 added 19 points.

In the absence of ace Cade Cunningham, Detroit picked up the upset win. Detroit’s opponent, Oklahoma City, has been on a tear lately, climbing to the top of the West. It was a game that seemed to have little chance of success for Detroit, who were in the midst of their worst run of form, with a record of 1-35 in 36 games, including a recent 28-game losing streak.

But you never know. Down 24-31 in the first quarter against top-ranked Oklahoma City, the Pistons looked like they were headed for defeat, but they quickly turned the game around with a 46-point second quarter explosion. Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Stewart, Duren, and Arthur Thompson were all involved in the outburst.

After extending their lead in the third quarter, Detroit brought in their starters in the fourth quarter to close out the win over the No. 1 team in the West. With Oklahoma City at full strength, Detroit had a lot to smile about on Dec. 29 as they overcame a back-and-forth battle to pull out the win.
