New York riots over PS5 promise; police charge influencers.

A promise of freebies from a popular American gaming influencer has sparked a riot in the heart of Manhattan.

The New York Times reported on Friday that the NYPD plans to charge Kai Senat with inciting a riot and unlawful assembly, among other charges.

Senat is an influencer with 20 million followers on social media, including YouTube and Twitch, who recently said in a live broadcast that he would give away PlayStation 5, a popular gaming console, in Manhattan’s Union Square Park.

As the comment went viral online, thousands of people flocked to Union Square before the scheduled time of 4 p.m., and their aggressive behavior included blocking pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Some, in particular, threw rocks and empty bottles at police and other youth, 먹튀검증토토사이트 engaged in scuffles with police, and attacked nearby merchants.

The unrest lasted over three hours, and the NYPD reportedly arrested 65 people, half of whom were juveniles.
