Jürgen Klopp has made a bone-jarring joke

Jürgen Klopp has made a bone-jarring joke about players who rejected Liverpool for Chelsea in this summer’s transfer window.

According to “This Is Anfield,” a website that specializes in Liverpool news, on Wednesday (Aug. 12), Klopp called Southampton’s Romeo Rabia, 19, Belgium, and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, 22, Ecuador, “lucky” to have rejected the Reds for Chelsea.

Klopp added: “We experienced something strange that almost never happens. Between us, we were lucky. We didn’t know it would happen until then,” he laughed.

“Obviously, we realized that other defensive central midfielders don’t want to join our club,” he said, adding, “Let’s see what happens now,” eliciting laughter.

Klopp’s Liverpool needed two central midfielders ahead of the season, and they found them in Southampton’s Romeo Rabiot (19, Belgium) and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo (22, Ecuador).

However, Liverpool were unable to sign either of them. 토토사이트 Rabia and Caicedo both moved to Chelsea at the same time. Chelsea managed to sign Rabia and Kaysedo for £58 million and £958 million respectively.

Liverpool had no choice but to bolster their midfield by bringing in Japanese defender Wataru Endo, 30, from Stuttgart.

The Reds got Endo for a bargain price of £16.2 million.

But halfway through the season, the move has paid off. Endo has been a stalwart in Liverpool’s midfield alongside the likes of Dominik Soboslaj, Alexis Sanchez, and Ryan Hrabenberg.

Rabia and Caicedo, on the other hand, are struggling. Rabia has yet to play a game since injuring his ankle in a tackle in training in September. Caicedo has been getting regular playing time, but has been criticized for not living up to his transfer fee.

The team standings have also changed. After 16 rounds, Liverpool leads the league with 37 points (11 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss). Their only league defeat came on October 1 at Tottenham.

In contrast, Chelsea, 바카라사이트 순위 still struggling under Mauricio Pochettino, are in 12th place with 19 points (5 wins, 4 draws, and 7 losses). In many ways, it’s a Chelsea that Klopp’s joke must hurt to the bone.
