KIM JUNHO ON ICE FINISHES 15TH IN SECOND RACE OF 500M DIVISION A AT WORLD CUP 1

South Korean men’s short track speedskater Kim Jun-ho (Gangwon Province) failed to medal at the first round of the 2023-2024 International Ice Skating Union (ISU) World Cup .Kim finished 15th out of 20 competitors with a time of 35.39 seconds in the second race of the men’s 500-meter Division A (First Division) at the 2023-2024 ISU Speedskating World Cup on Wednesday in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan. Kim Jun-ho, who finished eighth in the first race on Tuesday with a time of 35.18, failed to make the podium in the second race. Cha Min-kyu (Dongducheon City Hall), who finished 11th in the first race in 35.27, clocked 35.53 today and slipped to 17th.In the second race of the men’s 500 meters Division B (second division) earlier in the day, Kim Tae-yoon (Seoul City Hall – 35.59) finished third and Cho Sang-hyuk (Sportsoto – 35.89) was 13th.In the men’s 5,000 meters Division B, “long-distance veteran” Lee Seung-hoon (Alpensia-6:35.53) finished 18th and “long-distance signature” Jung Jae-won (Uijeongbu City Hall-6:41.40) was 22nd. In the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase Division B, Kim Bo-reum (4:18.86) and Park Ji-woo (4:19.96-plus Gangwon Provincial Office) finished 14th and 17th, respectively .In addition, the Korean team was disqualified from the mixed relay team of Yoo Sang-jun (Uijeongbu High School) 토토 and Ina Hyun (Nowon High School).
