SSG Signs Pitcher Duggar: “He’s got a 150 mph fastball and a good changeup”

Baseball team SSG Landers has signed a new foreign pitcher, Robert Dugger (28).

“SSG signed right-handed pitcher Dugger for a total of $900,000 ($100,000 signing bonus, $650,000 annual salary, $150,000 option),” the team said on Aug. 28.

Dugger was born in Arizona, U.S., and graduated from Texas Tech University before being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 18th round, 537th overall, in 2016.

He made his major league debut in 2019 with the Miami Marlins, but his time in the big leagues was short-lived.

Duggar’s career major league record is 7-7 with a 7.17 ERA in 27 games (13 starts). He hasn’t taken the mound in the big leagues this year.

He has been a consistent starter in the minors.

In 154 minor league games (127 starts), Duggar is 39-42 with four saves and a 4.21 ERA.

In Triple-A, he is 15-22 with a 5.25 ERA in 75 games.

This year, he hasn’t been as fortunate, going 7-10, but he leads the Triple-A Pacific League in ERA (4.31) and strikeouts (143).

“Duggar throws a strong fastball that reaches up to 150 mph and has a complete arsenal of pitches, including a changeup and curveball,” SSG said in a statement about the acquisition, adding, “We believe he is a complete starting pitcher with no significant weaknesses due to his extensive starting experience and ability to stay in games.”

“I am very happy to sign with SSG Landers,” Dugger said through the club. “My family and I can’t wait to meet the SSG fans. I will do my best to help the team win the championship in the 2024 season.”

Duggar will undergo medical tests in the United States. 파워볼사이트
